Two century-old companies from the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, both awarded the prestigious “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company) label, are bringing together their expertise in textiles and vehicle bodywork to create the Theault AERO SAINT JAMES. This limited-edition horse transport vehicle, 100% made in Normandy, will be unveiled exclusively at Equita Lyon.
They grew up just a few kilometres apart, in the same region, and share the same commitment to excellence. Today, SAINT JAMES and THEAULT are combining their expertise to create the AERO SAINT JAMES. This exclusive edition brings together SAINT JAMES’ textile craftsmanship and THEAULT’s expertise in the design and manufacture of horse transport vehicles.
Both companies hold the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, awarded to outstanding French companies recognised for their craftsmanship. They embody a shared vision of French excellence: mastery of traditional skills, the passing down of expertise from one generation to the next, and an enduring connection to their roots.
For more than 135 years, SAINT JAMES has been preserving and developing a textile craftsmanship whose reputation extends far beyond France’s borders. The brand has a presence throughout Europe and, for several decades, has also established itself in Japan, South Korea and the United States. Its logo, inspired by the silhouette of Mont-Saint-Michel, together with its iconic stripes, knitwear and signature wool blankets, now features throughout the interior of this very limited edition.
For more than a century, THEAULT has been following an equally distinctive path. Its technical expertise has made it a leading name among equestrian professionals and private horse owners alike, in France and across Europe, as well as in the United States, the Middle East and as far afield as Australia.
The meeting of these two iconic French companies has resulted in a unique, resolutely premium model that takes the spirit of Made in France well beyond the borders of Normandy.
THE AERO SAINT JAMES: TWO VERSIONS, ONE DISTINCTIVE SIGNATURE AEROrange, THEAULT’s new generation of horse transport vehicles, available on two chassis: Renault with the Aero Master and Mercedes-Benz with the Aero Sprinter.
On the outside, the bodywork features an entirely new shade: Thunder Grey, inspired by the ever-changing skies over the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. Developed exclusively for this edition in a matte finish, it accentuates the vehicle’s bold, forward-looking design.
A bespoke graphic design elegantly evokes the silhouette of Mont-Saint-Michel and the distinctive stripes of the renowned knitwear, pea coat and Breton shirt manufacturer.
Inside, the upholstery has been jointly designed by the SAINT JAMES style team and THEAULT’s upholstery workshop.
The bespoke interior plays with contrasting materials, combining leather with traditional pea coat wool fabric to deliver comfort, a soft feel and outstanding durability. Decorative stitching and embossed SAINT JAMES logos add depth and refinement. The brand’s iconic rectangular SAINT JAMES label provides a subtle finishing touch on the seats, marking this exclusive edition.

Designed by THEAULT and manufactured in France by Paddock Sports, it features the iconic SAINT JAMES label and stands out with three decorative bands in the colours of the French flag. An exclusive piece that brings together the identities and craftsmanship of all three companies, right down to the smallest detail.
